**POSITION**: Optometrist

**JOB SUMMARY**: This individual is responsible for demonstrating proficiency and excellence in skills commensurate with the maximum allowances within the scope of licensure; maximizing the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of patient care in the practice; and optimally developing an individual optometric practice within the medical/surgical practice.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
Should be able to provide quality eye care

Ability to work with patients of all ages

Should hold strong organizational value with attention to detail

Must be computer literate

Should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Practice Management Systems and Electronic Health Records

Ability to meet patient volume requirements

Ability to train others
