Scope

**Responsibilities**:

- Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks.
- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Monitor datacentre health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up.
- Assessing system capabilities, identifying limitations, evaluating and recommending hardware / software solution to meet business needs.

**Requirements**:

- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role (IT System Administrator)
- In-depth knowledge of Windows, Linux, or Mac systems
- Good knowledge in AD, DHCP, DNS, GPO etc.
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, Nutanix or equivalent
- Familiarity with Automation tools and Scripting languages.
- Familiarity with datacentre backup tools & DR management.
- Demonstrable troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis
- Good understanding of Cloud-based WAF technologies
- Excellent skills collaborating with folks inside and outside of your team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- This role requires you to be in our office and therefore must comply with our return to office protocols (i.e. must be fully vaccinated and wear a mask while moving around our office space).
