Job Title: Ocean Import Specialist

**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
Shipment Coordination: Coordinate and monitor ocean freight shipments from origin to destination.

Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, export/import documentation, and customs clearance forms.

Rate Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates with carriers and vendors to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.

Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates on shipment status and addressing any inquiries or concerns.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and customs requirements.

Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process to ensure timely delivery.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and customers to facilitate smooth operations.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

**Requirements**:
Experience: Previous experience in ocean freight forwarding or logistics is required, with a minimum of 2 to 3 years in a similar role.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of international shipping regulations, INCO terms, and customs procedures.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and stakeholders.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think quickly and decisively in high-pressure situations.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation and shipment information.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with shipping software and systems is preferred.

Education: A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
