UX Designer

Job Description:
Position Summary:
Pentair is currently seeking Designer to contribute to Design of Mobile/Web Apps in the Smart Products & IoT Strategic Innovation Centre in India. This role is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and design products and feature with the goal of creating engaging and delightful experiences for our users.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Create wireframes, mockups and prototypes to effectively conceptualize product initiatives
- Define product workflows, interactions and UI specifications in close collaboration with product managers and the engineering team
- Perform user studies to understand the impact of design and constantly innovate to improve user experience
- Develop personas and usage scenarios and conduct usability testing
- Develop Hi-Def screens based on approved UX as per Brand guidelines
- Perform UX audits and tests to iterate over existing designs and optimize the customer/user experience on a recurring basis
- Working closely with developers to see that the design was thorough in deployment/development
- Communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences
- Lead UX/UI team, including hiring and mentoring; experience in managing a team of around 3-4 UI/UX designers

Qualifications and Experience:

- 2+ years of proven UI/UX design and interactive work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experience with building a team of UI/UX designers and leading them through complex projects a plus
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (Design, Content and Coding) to attain business goals
- CSS, HTML, and Java Script not required, but would be a plus

Skills and Abilities Required:

- Expertise along with hands-on knowledge for creating a powerful UX/UI in IOS/Android mobile/web apps
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficient in popular design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, Invision, Photoshop
- Excellent time and work management skills to ensure deadlines
- Must be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems
