**Job Title**: DMLT Lab Technician

**Department**: Laboratory
**Location**: CURI Hospital Chennai

**Job Summary**

The DMLT Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests, preparing samples, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results in compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collect, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, stool, swabs, etc.) as per standard protocols.
- Perform hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and other routine and specialized tests.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure proper storage and disposal of biological samples and hazardous waste.
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately to the concerned department/doctor.
- Follow NABL/NABH guidelines and maintain quality control in all testing procedures.
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and reagents.
- Adhere to infection control and laboratory safety procedures.
- Assist in training junior lab staff or interns when required.
- Keep detailed and confidential patient records.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a recognized institution (B.Sc MLT preferred).
- **Experience**: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred (freshers can be considered).
- **Registration**: Should have valid registration if applicable as per state regulations.

**Key Skills**
- Strong knowledge of lab techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in test performance.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
