**Responsibilities**:
1. Provide Counseling Services: Offer compassionate and non-judgmental counseling to individuals seeking support for substance abuse and addiction-related issues.

2. Conduct Assessments: Conduct intake assessments and client evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans and ongoing support needs.

3. Individual and Group Therapy: Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions and group therapy sessions to address the emotional, psychological, and behavioral aspects of addiction recovery.

4. Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to handle crisis situations and provide immediate emotional support to clients in distress.

5. Collaborative Approach: Work collaboratively with other professionals within the organization, such as medical staff, social workers, and psychologists, to ensure holistic care for clients.

6. Maintain Confidentiality: Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and ethical standards in dealing with client information.

7. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of counseling sessions, progress notes, and any other required documentation.

8. Support Group Participation: Encourage clients to participate in support group meetings and engage in activities that promote community building and recovery.

9. Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest developments in addiction counseling and participate in training opportunities to enhance counseling skills.

10. Volunteer Engagement: Collaborate with other volunteers and contribute to the positive and supportive atmosphere of the organization.

Qualifications:

- Certified Counselor: Possess relevant certification or qualifications in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in addiction counseling or a similar field is beneficial, but not mandatory. Fresh graduates with a strong passion for helping others are welcome to apply.
- Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrate genuine empathy, compassion, and understanding towards individuals struggling with addiction.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with the team.
- Non-judgmental Approach: Ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude towards clients and foster a safe and inclusive environment.
- Time Commitment: Willingness to dedicate a specified number of hours per week/month as per the organization's requirements.

Note: This is a volunteer position, and no monetary compensation will be provided. However, volunteers will gain valuable experience in the field of addiction counseling and contribute to the well-being of the community.
