**About us**:

In this internship duration, you will work with our Solver development team to develop and deliver the OpenFOAM solver-based features demanded by an industry-specific vertical app.
- As a member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing multiphase simulation strategies, and testing, and validating the CFD simulations for producing cost-effective and robust solutions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Research on the underlying physics of the feature/app requirements to select the right solvers, turbulence models, and numerical schemes to solve the physics accurately.
- Validate and benchmark the CFD development against analytical and experimental data.
- Formulate the CFD solution approach that balances the feature needs and implementation concerns.
- Maintain and improve the simulation strategies for the existing CFD app functionalities
- Investigate problems discovered by QA or the product support team and develop solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Academic thesis/projects using CFD-based OpenFOAM software.
- Excellent understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and numerical methods
- Experience with development in a Linux environment
- Good skills in research and analysis
- Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and a desire for continuous learning

**Nice to have**:

- Domain knowledge of the HVAC and Valve
- Experience with engineering simulation using commercial CFD software
- General Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) familiarity
- Knowledge of C/C++ programming, numerical analysis, scripting languages, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience with software version control (Git preferred) and collaborative development
