**Position**: Medical Officer

**Qualification**:MBBS having Diploma in pathology

**Experience**:Minimum 5-10
- Must have worked in a blood bank min 1yr

**Work Location**:Hosepet, Karnataka

**Language**:English, Hindi & Kannada

**Roles & Responsibilities**:
**Administrative**
- Overall supervision of blood bank.
- Inventory management.
- Complying with regulatory requirements.
- Recording and reporting.
- Fulfilling program requirements.
- Undergo appropriate training programs if necessary.
- Maintaining shifts of Technicians and Nurse.

**Donor management**
- Perform routine donor evaluation and monitoring including physical examination.
- Provide consultation to technical and clerical personnel
- concerning donor selection and acceptability.
- Evaluate and manage blood donor reactions.
- Evaluate and follow-up donors with abnormal test results including infectious disease testing.
- Selection of donor for specific patients.
- Donor monitoring.

**Camp Management**
- Checking exact venue, number of donors, time for camp and refreshments of donors including required furniture mobile van and emergency medical box.

**Testing**
- Provide consultation and support to technical and clerical staff concerning specimen and requisition acceptability.
- REVIEW AND INTERPRET:

- Blood typing discrepancies
- Positive antibody screen
- Antibody panel
- Positive direct /indirect anti-globulin tests
- any other serological tests if arise

**QMS / QA**
- Organisation
- Personnel
- Technical
- Document control
- Infrastructure management
- Equipment
- Audits
- Presenting monthly review of blood bank in meeting.
- Maintaining quality assurance
- Ensure staff and departmental compliance with all regulatory ,safety and institutions policy and procedures
- Ensuring all work done according to required standards
- Ensure SOP to be followed in all steps of blood bank functioning
- Ensure good practices in concern with Lab and clinical practices

**Component Management**
- Provide medical directions of component collections.
- Evaluate and approve request for selected and specialized blood components
- Maintaining adequate inventory of all blood components.

**Training**
- Cross training of different levels of staff
- Competency management
- Helps in evaluating the knowledge of the new staff and arrange the training programs.

**Clinical services**
- Review initial workup of all transfusion reactions reported to blood bank
- Obtain informed consent

**Biosafety and Infection control**
- Ensure BMW management
- Infection control practices
- Ensure universal precautions should be used consistently by all the staff of blood bank
- Any other job assigned by the management.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
