3D Texturing Artist

**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Create High-Quality Textures**: Develop detailed and realistic textures for 3D models using a variety of software tools and techniques, including painting, sculpting, and procedural generation.
- **Collaborate with Artists and Designers**: Work closely with modelling artists, shaders, and art directors to understand project requirements and ensure textures align with artistic vision and technical specifications.
- **Optimize Textures for Performance**: Optimize texture maps to ensure efficient rendering performance without sacrificing visual quality, considering factors such as resolution, compression, and UV mapping.
- **Maintain Consistency and Quality**: Ensure consistency and quality across all textures and materials within a project, following established style guides and artistic direction.
- **Research and Stay Updated**: Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and techniques related to texture creation and 3D rendering, and incorporate new developments into workflow when applicable.
- **Troubleshoot and Problem-Solve**: Identify and address technical and artistic challenges related to texture creation, and collaborate with team members to find effective solutions.

**Requirements**:

- **Strong Portfolio**: Demonstrated proficiency in texture creation with a diverse portfolio showcasing high-quality textures and materials for 3D models across various styles and genres.
- **Proficiency in 3D Software**: Expertise in industry-standard 3D software tools such as Substance Painter, Maya, Photoshop, and ZBrush, with a solid understanding of texture mapping and UV unwrapping techniques.
- **Understanding of Rendering Pipeline**: Familiarity with rendering engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity, and knowledge of how textures and materials are integrated into the rendering pipeline.
- **Attention to Detail**: Keen eye for detail and ability to create textures that enhance the realism and believability of 3D models, paying attention to factors such as color, texture, and surface properties.
- **Team Player**: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and take direction from art directors and project leads.
- **Creative Problem-Solver**: Ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to technical and artistic challenges encountered during texture creation.

**Education and Experience**:

- Minimum 12th
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in digital art, computer graphics, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a texture artist or similar role in the animation, gaming, or visual effects industry is preferred.
