We offer our team of experienced, professional employees an environment of challenging, stimulating and personally and professionally rewarding career opportunities. **This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll** **Essential Functions** - Respond to Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC), munition debris, and suspect/actual Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). - Prepare Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) munitions response reports, develop risk assessments for hazardous operations, and update operational plans as needed - Direct the construction of protective barriers to mitigate explosive hazards - Perform, and if needed, supervise, the on-site disposal of MEC to include the handling of explosives and other hazardous materials - Conduct UXO awareness briefings to new-hire employees, construction personnel, law enforcement/security officers, fire fighters, school-age children, and Marshallese residents on non-USAG-KA leased islands - Provide support to Department of Defense (DoD) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams when necessary - Prepare and release balloon-borne radar calibration instrumentation - Issue, receive, and transport Ammunition & Explosives (AA&E) to and from explosive storage facilities **Required Skills**: - Experience with Ordnance Fuze and Firing System Render Safe Procedures - Experience with fragmentation and explosive blast calculations - Experience with fragmentation and explosive blast effects mitigation - DoD EOD Team Leader Certified - Explosives and UXO disposal experience - Physical ability to put on and operate while wearing the Med-Eng® EOD-10 Bomb Suit (size large); pass DOT physical, a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT); on occasion wear a commercial-style respirator and Tyvek suit - Physical ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and traverse uneven terrain - Ability to climb onto and off of vehicles, ladders, and various platforms requiring varying degrees of physical effort - Ability to work outside in a hot, humid environment for >8 hours - Familiar with World War II ordnance as well as current weapon systems. - Ability to effectively operate Schonstedt GA-52Cx Magnetic Locator; Whites XLT Metal Detector; Mini Andros II; SmartRayVision SRV X1012 Portable Digital X-ray system. - Ability to pass all required training if not already current (e.g. OSHA HAZWOPER 40, OSHA HAZWOPER Supervisor, First-Aid / CPR, and courses prescribed in DA Pam 385-64 1-8.
