Study BOQ and architect drawings from the client. Understand the structural system prescribed in the architect drawings. Similarly understand the specifications given in the tender document/ work order.
- Discuss the same with the design head and make initial planning on the CAD drawings and the detailing requirements.
- Consult with the design head and decide on the number of drawing plates to be made initially, keeping in mind the requirements of the client.
- Receive survey inputs, consider the actual realities at the site and incorporate the changes in the drawing as per instructions of the design head.
- Instruct the draftsman or third-party vendor on the detailing requirements and allocate detailing work appropriately. Work on texting.
- Check the detailing done by the draftsmen (line/ layout drawings) and complete the shop drawings (P&ID drawing, isometric if required) and elevation drawings as per approved design plan within the specified time frames.
- Prepare design calculation/ technical data sheet (including BoM) as per customer requirement.
- Participate in client meetings and describe the shop drawing. Convince the client on the design system applied and get it approved. Ensure that the approval happens within the initial few sittings.
- Clarify doubts of BD Support, Projects team on the shop drawings such that they can effectively complete their activities.
- Support fabrication team with design/ drawings of pipeline, cylinders, fire panel systems etc. Develop drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
- Post completion of the project, get the as-built details and develop the “as-built drawing” that needs to be submitted along with handing over documents to the client.
- Maintain systems and processes pertaining to the design team that adhere to all documentation requirements. Suggest improvements in the system to meet customer demands.
- Comply with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to the department.

Continually learn pertinent things relevant to the job and improve capabilities to effectively perform current and future jobs in the department.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
