Classical Dance Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Classical Dance Trainer to join our team. As a Classical Dance Trainer, you will be responsible for instructing students in the techniques, history, and artistry of classical dance forms. Your primary goal will be to nurture a love for dance, develop the technical proficiency of students, and inspire a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of classical dance.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Instruction**:

- Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive classical dance lessons, covering various forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, or any other relevant style.
- Teach fundamental dance techniques, body posture, hand gestures, facial expressions, footwork, and intricate choreography.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students of different skill levels and ages.
- **Choreography**:

- Create original dance routines and choreography that showcase the beauty and authenticity of classical dance forms.
- Collaborate with students to develop their creativity and expressiveness through dance.
- **Technique and Performance Development**:

- Provide constructive feedback to students on their technique, posture, and overall performance.
- Organize and conduct regular rehearsals to prepare students for performances, recitals, and competitions.
- **Cultural Context**:

- Educate students about the historical and cultural significance of classical dance, helping them connect with the roots of the art form.
- Incorporate storytelling and thematic elements into dance lessons to enhance the understanding and appreciation of classical dance traditions.
- **Individualized Attention**:

- Monitor the progress of each student and tailor instruction to meet individual needs and goals.
- Encourage and support students in developing their unique artistic voice within the classical dance framework.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:

- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding class schedules, performances, and student progress.
- Collaborate with other dance instructors, musicians, and artists to create interdisciplinary performances and projects.
- **Continued Professional Development**:

- Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in classical dance through workshops, training programs, and research.
- Actively participate in professional dance associations and events to expand your network and contribute to the dance community.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a classical dance instructor with expertise in one or more specific dance forms.
- Strong knowledge of dance theory, history, and cultural context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of students and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Passion for promoting the cultural heritage and artistic expression through classical dance.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 18 per week
