- Take a medical history, explain the procedure, and position the patient
- Adjust and maintain imaging equipment, and operate the X-ray machine to take the images
- Check the images for clarity, and retake them if needed
- Protect patients and staff from radiation by using shielding devices, following safety standards, and wearing protective gear
