Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive English language and literature lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Teach various aspects of English, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and literary analysis, to students at the assigned grade level(s).
- Utilise a variety of instructional methods, resources, and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Cultivate a love for literature by introducing students to a variety of literary genres, authors, and works.
- Develop students' writing skills, including essay composition, creative writing, and effective communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the English curriculum, ensuring its alignment with educational standards and objectives.
- Stay updated with current trends, research, and best practices in English language and literature education, integrating innovative and effective instructional techniques into lessons.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders to support student development.
- Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of the latest developments in English education.
- Perform administrative tasks, including grading assignments, maintaining attendance records, and preparing progress reports.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience teaching English language and literature to students at the assigned grade level(s).
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes language acquisition and effective communication.
- Proficient in integrating technology and digital resources into English instruction.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and adapt to changing educational trends.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to the academic and personal growth of students.
