IT Advancement & Design (ITA) comprises further development of information technologies and IT platforms for business solutions and services. Covers driving of proactive needs analysis ensuring that business needs, demands and challenges are well understood, and that business execution plans and capabilities are delivered on time and within budget. Contains management of demands and priorities while assuring alignment with the corporate strategy and budget. Comprises optimisation, harmonisation, and implementation of Nokia's IT environment and systems by providing area specific knowledge. Covers representation of the whole IT organisation to global or regional business stakeholders and user communities. Works closely with the different service providers that are part of the IT eco-system, governs their performance, and acts as main interface between IT and the business including incident escalations. Comprises identification of opportunities for process and concept development as well as improvements. Covers planning and managing of the development, testing, and implementation of process / concept improvements and system changes at own responsibility area. Contains translation of requirements into system terminology and functionality as well as the delivery of process and system end-user training.

**Solution Designer for Datacenter Networks **is responsible and accountable for Datacenter and Public Cloud network solution designs, including technical concept and design, configuration, functionality, processes, standardization and performance. This is a global position to support Nokia ongoing Digitalization and Cloud transformation. The Solution Designer for Datacenter Networks will work with “on premises DCs” as well as major Public Cloud Providers.

Her/his main responsibilities include:

- Understands Nokia IT and Business requirements and strategy for Applications and Datacenter services.
- Understand security controls and polices. Application deployment best practices and standards
- Engage with IT and Business stakeholders on requirements reviews and solutioning
- Design Datacenter and Public Cloud network solutions, including network segmentation, load balance and security solutions
- Define Processes and Operational Procedures for services in her/his area of responsibility
- Perform implementations (new or changes), implementation reviews or acceptance to ensure design compliance and gap mitigation.
- Document solution design for various projects and deployment scenarios
- Support analysis of critical incidents and Identify design related gaps that caused the incident to define preventive actions
- Drive automation and optimization of Datacenter and Public Cloud network solutions

You Have:

- Bachelors’ degree or engineering degree in Telecommunications/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in network architect role, 3+ year experience in handling Datacenter network
- Strong Knowledge in switching, routing and load balancing
- Experience in handling large enterprise network environment
- Experience with Nokia Service Routers and Nokia SR Linux products
- Experience with HPN switches
- Experience with F5 load balancers
- Proficient in Standard Network infra protocols such as OSPF, BGP, QoS, VRRP, VxLAN etc.
- Experience in network design and deployment

It would be nice if you also had:

- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience in automation and orchestration
- knowledge in the areas of operating systems such as Red Hat, Ubuntu would be a plus
- Good understanding on other network protocols like DHCP, DNS, IPsec,TLS etc.
- Knowledge in Firewall products and solutions
- Experience in IPv6 deployment.
- Understanding of ITIL processes
