PLM Windchill Administrator Birlasoft is currently seeking an experienced PLM Windchill Administrator who enjoys interacting with both customers and peers to be part of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Team. The senior consultant would need a very deep understanding of Windchill & Thingworx landscape on what is being done to troubleshoot and resolve issues during support. Good understanding of rehosting and upgrade apart from the minor activities. Scripting, customization, and good knowhow on how to look at automating quite a few of the support and administrative tasks is required as part of the routine job activities. The consultant will be dealing with high profile customer in the manufacturing space and will be required to configure and execute solutions to meet the client’s complex needs, hence needs deep experience from both System and Business administrative provide support along with strong technical knowledge depth. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Executing all System and Business administrative tasks for Windchill and Thingworx support along with scripting, automation of activities that are required from all administration and support facets of the Windchill PLM project lifecycle. High Attention to detail, thoroughness, and depth in understanding Windchill and Thingworx support, must understand why and how’s of debugging and administrative issues and provided resolution within SLA timeframes. Adept in capturing the resolution of issues, documenting them as part of the FAQ/User Error database will be an intrinsic activity. Should be strong in both verbal and written communication. Strong knowledge of the AWS Cloud platform from Windchill/ Thingworx Support standpoint. Strong in Java/J2EE constructs as a base. Needs to understand Windchill Data Architecture and Structures. Some knowledge on Windchill customizations. Deep diving, troubleshooting approach to resolve any technical complex issues on Windchill modules with attention to detail. Needs to have a strong understanding of rehosting, various activities as part of upgrade apart from the minor Windchill installation and other activities like CPS, Data Refresh, and other activities. Actively participating in all stages of the project from development through testing by supporting the rest of the project team Developing relationships with the clients and supporting them during the project lifecycle Meeting with and utilizing teammates’ expertise to maximize project efficiency. Strong Attention to details and documenting methods and lessons learned. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Data Science and/or equivalent experience in the industry Database experience (Oracle, SQL Server) Strong Experience with Windchill and Thingworx troubleshooting, resolution of L1, L2 and possibly L3 issues. Classification: Internal Experience with PTC Windchill rehosting, upgrades, Windchill 11.x and up preferred Experience with Java, Python and any scripting programming required.
