Civil Supervisor

In a role as a Civil Supervisor, you would be expected to monitor civil infrastructure projects. You would oversee specific activities such as building construction. There is typically a mix of office work and a requirement to be onsite to oversee the project. It is important that you have experience both as an engineer onsite and a manager of people as part of your role is to manage a project team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing all aspects of construction for your own live project and reporting into the Project Manager,
- Controlling all aspects of the construction works,
- Keeping the project adequately resourced with plant and materials,
- Self-performing certain elements of works,
- Monitoring and controlling all aspects of H&S,
- Controlling and managing specialist sub-contractors,
- Keeping accurate records of production,
- Providing reports on works completed, etc.

**Usual Requirements**:

- Extensive experience in production and supervisory role, and ideally have good bridge construction experience.
- Previous work history with the main contractor on medium or large-scale project sizes.
- Extensive commitment and understanding of all matters relating to H&S and the Environment
- Demonstrated experience in directing and managing your own labour force to achieve the desired outcome, keeping in mind commercial constraints.
- Previous experience in managing specialist sub-contractors and self-performing works, with hands-on experience.
