**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operate and maintain steam or hot water boilers in accordance with safety regulations.
- Monitor gauges, meters, and control panels to ensure boilers are operating within acceptable parameters.
- Perform daily checks and routine maintenance on boiler systems and related equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, compressors).
- Record data such as temperature, pressure, fuel consumption, and water levels in logbooks or digital systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions, leaks, or equipment failures.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for repairs or upgrades.
- Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Assist in preparing reports and maintaining documentation for audits or inspections.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid Second Class Boiler Operator Certificate (as per local/state regulations).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating industrial boilers.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, steam operations, and safety standards.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and physical fitness.
**Work Environment**:
- Industrial setting with exposure to high heat, noise, and mechanical equipment.
- May involve shift work, including weekends or nights.
