Introduction:
This role is part of the RIS process improvement Market Risk team and is responsible for delivering automations to create capacity, improve the control environment and improve overhauled colleague and stakeholder experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn about latest technologies, be part of the digital transform agenda and gain hands on experience of with working with multi geographical interdisciplinary teams.

What will you be doing?
- Engage, Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand the requirements and the exact elements which could improve the process at an overall level.
- Based on the understanding of business processes, hands on coding into Python / VBA/ RPA tools.
- Ownership of stand-alone automation projects to deliver solutions in tactical technology tools.
- Strong ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations
- Understand the sustainability and control environment off the automation and ensure that there are no technical slippages in the solution.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to input into project deliverables
- Nurture and coach team members contributing to their professional development

What we’re looking for:

- Knowledge of investment banking products and concepts from a risk management perspective
- Advanced project management skills.
- Independent thinker and capability to challenge status quo.
- Conversant with tactical technologies like Python, M365, Alteryx etc.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or has an appropriate professional qualification.
- Able to provide program oversight to multiple teams/resources across a function in an effort to deliver initiatives.
- Builds strong relationships and networks across the business and functions.
- Strong understanding of industry best practice in respect of automation tools and developments and of the technology landscape.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Detailed understanding of latest trends in the tactical technology tooling space. Insights into technical aspects around controls, architecture and technology standards.
- Experience working in a top tier investment bank in a related role
- Post graduate degree or professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM looked at favourably
- Leadership or Line Management experience looked at favourably
