**Your Role**

The Hardware Product Owner role in Aptiv has responsibility to ensure delivery of all Hardware facets of a customer project targeting maximum re-use of the HW architecture in the product design. This person will have matrix responsibility for multiple electrical, mechanical, and validation engineers, working with Aptiv direct-line resource managers. It is expected a HWPO will focus on a given product line component for a given customer project or several customers’ projects depending upon component complexity. The HWPO will also serve as a core member of the platform HW architecture team.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from HW to the Global Product Line (GPL) project team and the OEM customer for HW issues.
- Take ownership and lead escalation paths for all HW deliverables and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Develop and manage the HW achievement plan, in coordination with the Engineering Project Manager.
- Drive Hardware Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet HW Factory MOS targets.
- Ensure the HW design aligns with the manufacturing Bill Of Process (BOP) and liaise with the manufacturing team to resolve any deviations.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure supplier selection aligns with platform approved sources and meets HW KPIs while managing associated risks.

**Your Background**
- Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Several years of professional experience in an international company, preferably in the automotive or electronics industry
- Cross-functional engineering experience, able to cover EE, ME, and validation topics, while interfacing with Systems, SW, manufacturing, purchasing and the product line
- Over 5 years of team lead experience
- Strong focus on interpersonal skills - willingness to develop
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to solve problems - creativity
- Fluency in English

Bonus points if you have experience in any of the following areas:

- Align platform HW architecture with customer RFQs and proposals to achieve 70% re-use.
- Provide HW input and guidance to product line Start Centers, including BOM and engineering resource recommendations.
- Develop and define platform HW architecture, differentiating between common and customer-specific elements, and evaluate deviations from the standard architecture.
- Collaborate with Advanced Engineering and Centers of Expertise to create a robust HW architecture aligned with the product line roadmap requirements
