**About Organisation**: LEPRA Society is an organization working for people affected by Leprosy, lymphatic filariasis, TB, HIV/AIDS & other NTDs, Eye Care and governed by a board comprising of distinguished individuals from across India.
- **About the Project**: The SHAKTHI (Sustainable Health Approaches for Key Tribal Communities Health Interventions) project aims to reduce the burden of neglected and vector-borne diseases in tribal block Bakawand, Bastar through community-based prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and health system strengthening. Duration of project is for 3 Years.

**The position is for immediate employment**

The Physiotherapist will be stationed at the proposed Morbidity Management Unit (MMU) within the CHC and will be responsible for providing physiotherapy support to patients affected by leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF). The role involves direct patient care, education, rehabilitation planning, and guidance in the selection and usage of appropriate aids and appliances to improve patient mobility and quality of life.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver physiotherapy interventions to leprosy and LF patients
- Offer patient and family education on physiotherapy practices and home-based self-care techniques for prevention of worsening impairments.
- Support customized footwear, aids and appliances guidance, ensuring alignment with the deformity
- Work closely with the field team, including nurses and CHWs, to support integrated morbidity management services.
- Document patient progress, maintain clinical records, and contribute to regular reporting and outcome monitoring.
- Participate in awareness sessions and health camps related to disability prevention and functional rehabilitation.
- Train CHWs and family members on basic physiotherapy and limb care for continuity of care at the household level.

**Qualifications and Experience**: BPT or MPT from a recognized institution.

**Technical /Area of Expertise**:Expertise on Clinical community-based physiotherapy and working with persons affected by disabilities, especially in leprosy or LF, is desirable.

**Skills Required**: Sound knowledge of physio care and rehabilitation of leprosy and lymphedema-related disabilities. Strong interpersonal skills for patient counselling, team collaboration, and community engagement.

**Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- (Gross) per month**
