**Position Summary**:
The Assistant Professor in the Information Technology (IT) Department will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, engaging in research, and contributing to the academic and administrative functions of the department. This role involves teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, supporting students' academic development, and participating in departmental activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching and Instruction**:

- Conduct lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in IT.
- Prepare and deliver instructional materials, including course syllabus, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
- Evaluate and grade students’ academic performance through assignments, exams, and practical work.
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
- **Research and Scholarly Activities**:

- Engage in research activities in areas such as Cybersecurity, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, or Network Administration.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Seek opportunities for research collaboration and funding.
- Supervise and mentor postgraduate and doctoral students (if applicable), providing guidance on their research projects.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Assist in the development and revision of course content and instructional materials.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of effective teaching strategies and curriculum enhancements.
- **Student Support**:

- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, addressing their academic and career-related questions.
- Offer additional support through office hours or extra help sessions to assist students with coursework and projects.
- **Departmental and Institutional Activities**:

- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic functions.
- Support departmental administration, including maintaining academic records and assisting with various academic and administrative tasks.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay current with advancements in IT and pedagogical techniques.
- Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance teaching and research skills.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Qualifications**:

- A master's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field with first class from a recognized institution.
- A Ph.D. in Information Technology or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level Assistant Professor positions.
- **Experience**:

- Prior teaching experience is advantageous but not required for entry-level Assistant Professor positions.
- Demonstrated involvement in research activities and academic projects is desirable.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in modern teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective instructional materials and teaching strategies.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
