**Role Description**

This specialized role entails day to day trade processing and settlements of DB Securities & Custody Operations team which supports local and offshore clients and also meet ESMA requirement of the GTB - Investor Services.

The Jobholder report to VP - Deputy Head Securities & Custody Operations, in terms of guidance and authority and is guided by him/her in terms of strategic issues, compliance, etc. However the jobholder should be able to independently interact with Internal/External parties and is expected to be aware of the changes in the regulation

**Your key responsibilities**
- Exposure to Indian capital market experience, coordination with brokers, depositories, regulators and exchanges, clearing corporation, handling BAU.
- To identify opportunities, diagnose issues, recommend, and document solutions that deliver quality, flexibility or cost improvement using best practice methodologies.
- Co-ordinate the activities of the team related to trade processing and regulatory reporting
- Ensure quality and quantity of processing is maintained as per the client SLA
- Ensuring closure of tasks within prescribed SLAs
- Handling BAU to process trade instructions, cash processing for offshore and local clients, static data creation and maintenance along with tracking and processing of corporate action and Regulatory reporting for India market, break analysis and escalations, follow up with stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to all internal and external process guidelines including compliance and legal so as to build and maintain robust control environment.
- Building a strong mechanism to take care of volume peaks during peak season
- The said role needs continuous improvement and end-to-end process optimization across functions; by simplifying and standardizing current processes.
- Identifying operational risks proactively and mitigating appropriately.
- Ensure adequate back-ups created for all critical positions and assist other teams during contingencies (Staff shortage, high volumes etc).
- Work very closely with the process owners/stakeholders and other internal clients for overall growth of the bank’s business.

**Your skills and experience**
- Graduate (BA / BS / B.Com, etc.) with 3 to 5 year experience in the relevant field
- Exposure to the Indian capital markets, settlements or having custody background would be preferred
- Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills
