**Job Scope**

IDC seeking an Analyst on a contract role to join the software tracker team. This role involves conducting in-depth research for IDC’s software tracker working collaboratively with the internal and external vendors as needed.

The analyst is expected to deliver regular, detailed analysis of software markets across diverse geographies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze secondary sources (primarily company financial reports) of global and regional software/cloud vendors.
- Research primary and secondary sources (e.g. company financial reports, company web sites, press releases, industry press articles, etc.) of global and regional software/cloud vendors.
- Create company revenue models that map source data to the IDC Software taxonomy and update these models on a semi-annual basis
- Communicate with IDCs worldwide software analysts and vendors to discuss the models and assumptions as needed
- Work with IDCs regional analysts to reconcile the worldwide vendor revenue models with their regional models
- Regularly interact with the other IDC CCR company modelers and the worldwide software company model team manager

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree with strong Analytical and logical skills to interpret quantitative insights and estimate market sizes
- 0-1 year of professional experience, experience in market research industry, is a plus
