Civil Designer

Position Overview:
A Civil Designer specializing in concrete and flexible pavement design is responsible for creating detailed designs and plans for the construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation of roadways, highways, airports, and other transportation infrastructure projects. This role requires expertise in both concrete and flexible pavement design techniques, materials, and construction practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Pavement Design: Develop and implement concrete and flexible pavement designs for various transportation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, specifications, and regulations.

Design Software: Utilize specialized design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other relevant software tools to create detailed pavement designs, cross-sections, profiles, and construction plans.

Material Selection: Recommend appropriate materials for concrete and flexible pavement construction based on project requirements, traffic loads, environmental factors, and budget considerations.

Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for pavement design and construction activities, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related costs.

Technical Drawings: Generate clear and comprehensive technical drawings, plans, and specifications that communicate the pavement design requirements to contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and reviews of pavement design documents to ensure accuracy, compliance with project requirements, and adherence to relevant codes and standards.

Construction Support: Collaborate with construction teams during the implementation phase, providing technical guidance, addressing design-related issues, and verifying compliance with the approved design plans.

Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements, industry best practices, and emerging trends in concrete and flexible pavement design techniques, and incorporate them into project designs when appropriate.

Project Coordination: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of pavement designs with other project elements.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records, design files, and documentation related to pavement design projects, including design calculations, technical specifications, and change orders.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.

Strong knowledge of concrete and flexible pavement design principles, methodologies, and industry standards.

Familiarity with relevant design codes and regulations (e.g., AASHTO, ASTM).

Experience with pavement design software, such as MEPDG or equivalent.

Ability to interpret project requirements, specifications, and technical drawings.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality designs.

Familiarity with construction processes and the ability to support field personnel during construction activities.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lucknow City, Uttar Pradesh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
