- Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (Python or Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform)
- Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development
- Knowledge of any scripting languages a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The Amazon Customer Fulfillment team is looking for passionate individuals who love to play a key role in the development of world-class internal customer-facing interfaces and back-end services that make them possible. You are a talented Software Development Engineer who knows how to get things done, and done really well, you like making customers' lives better and want to be part of a team that builds "from scratch" a new technology platform for Customer Fulfillment.
It's still Day 1, and we're at the beginning of building out an entire suite of global solutions. You and a team of developers will work through all phases of the project life-cycle, including reviewing requirements, designing services that lay foundation for the new technology platform, build new interfaces and also integrate with existing architectures, developing and testing code, and delivering seamless implementations for our customers.
About the team
GRT Development Team is a central team within RME and responsible for implementing projects that drive Product, Program, Reporting and Analytical initiatives. The team was created in Q2 2019 before which individual teams were segregated across multiple organizations. The team currently supports software development and technology infrastructure requirements for 11000 RME personnel across 900 network locations including North America Customer Fulfillment (NACF), Global Specialty Fulfillment (GSF), Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), Amazon Air (Air) and Amazon Logistics (AMZL). The team work in collaboration with GRT NA/EU product team and program team to develop both short and long
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
- Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Experience in eCommerce and Deep hands-on technical expertise
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with service oriented architectures and web based solutions
