Rebar Estimator

Location: Madurai

Schedule: Day, Evening, and Morning Shifts Available

Compensation: Competitive salary with performance and yearly bonuses

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Estimator, the Rebar Estimator is responsible for calculating reinforcement quantities to support accurate and competitive bidding. This role requires 2-3 years of hands-on experience in rebar detailing and a solid educational background in civil engineering. A basic understanding of structural design is essential, and familiarity with ASA software is considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and coordinate all paper and electronic documents related to projects, including plans, addenda, and tender documents—both received and stored on the server.
- Notify the Chief Estimator of any required bid bonds.
- Adhere to client-specific instructions (pricing type, scope of work, bid forms, etc.).
- Analyze project plans and specifications thoroughly.
- Accurately quantify reinforcing steel, welded wire mesh, and other relevant products.
- Estimate quantities of special products (e.g., Studrails, V-Rod, Post-Tension, stainless steel) at project initiation and report them to the Chief Estimator for early pricing.
- Ensure all submitted documents are complete and validated.
- Attach all required documentation including bid submission forms, scope of work, and detailed quantity breakdowns.
- Compare bidding plans with construction plans for consistency and accuracy.
- Participate in technical or French language training as required.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2-3 years of experience in rebar detailing.
- Basic knowledge of structural design principles.
- Proficiency in ASA software is an asset.
- Strong command of English (spoken and written); knowledge of French is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
