Metallurgical Chemist

**Job role**:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chemist. The Chemist will be responsible for conducting various lab tests for ferroalloys, metals and minerals, performing quality control checks, analyzing data, and contributing to research and development efforts. He will be actively involved with the management in setting up standards and will be responsible to setting up and maintaining the lab. **Minimum 5-7 years of working as a Chemist with steel plants or welding consumables is preferred.** This role is located in our manufacturing unit based at Village Por, Dist. Vadodara, Gujarat.

**Job description is as follows**:
2. Execute day to day Quality control & Quality Assurance operations

3. Understanding of BIS and ISO Standards and certifications and following them

4. Experience in Quality Control for ensuring consistency and compliances of the products

5. Strong analytical skills for data analysis and interpretation

6. Research and Development (R&D) skills for development of new products

7. Experience in research activities

8. Hands-on experience using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) technology for testing alloys

9. Should be able to calibrate analytical instruments

10. Coordinate with cross function departments

11. Collaborate with manager in case of customer complaints and follow investigating procedures to resolve such complaints

12. Follow safety procedures and processes

13. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

14. Maintain & monitoring of chemical stock

15. Monitor laboratory cleanliness & housekeeping

16. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members

17. Preparing testing & MIS reports and sharing it with senior management

18. Care & maintenance of lab equipment to avoid and damages

19. Adhering to all safety and security protocols so as to avoid any accidents in the laboratory

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹540,000.00 per year
