Quality Controller- Knitted Garments

As a Knitted Garments Quality Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of knitted apparel products throughout the production process. Your role involves conducting thorough inspections, implementing quality control procedures, and collaborating with production teams to maintain high standards of craftsmanship. You will play a critical role in upholding our brand reputation for delivering superior quality garments to our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Quality Inspection**:

- Conduct pre-production inspections of raw materials, including yarns and fabrics, to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform in-process inspections at various stages of production to identify any defects, flaws, or inconsistencies in knitted garments.
- Conduct final inspections of finished products to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- **Quality Control Procedures**:

- Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines for knitted garment production.
- Train production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and defect identification.
- Monitor adherence to quality control procedures and provide guidance to ensure consistent quality across all production batches.
- **Defect Analysis and Reporting**:

- Identify and document defects, discrepancies, and non-conformities found during inspections.
- Analyze root causes of quality issues and collaborate with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Generate detailed reports on quality inspection findings, including defect rates, trends, and areas for improvement.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:

- Liaise with production managers, supervisors, and quality assurance teams to address quality concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate quality requirements and expectations to suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to provide feedback on product samples and prototypes.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements within the production environment.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement best practices and quality initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, quality standards, and regulatory requirements related to knitted garment manufacturing.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality control or assurance within the têxtile or apparel industry, with a focus on knitted garments.
- Strong knowledge of knitted fabric construction, techniques, and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies, such as statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma.
- Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and root causes of quality issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
