No Changes required- **JOB PURPOSE** - To ensure compliance wrt safety rules and regulations, good laboratory practices. Conduct test on raw material, intermediate process streams as per schedule and laid down SOPs. Independent handling of water section and instruments like IC,TOC, pH/TDS/Conductivity meter, UV/VIS spectrophotometer, COD/BOD etc and other classical analysis. Independent handling of petroleum testing instruments like TS/TN analyser, Gas chromatographs, Vacuum distillation, EDXRF, Density meter, auto flash point, auto distillation, auto CFPP, pour point, cloud point, C/S analyser, auto aniline, auto RVP and all types of manual petroleum testing equipment. Calibration of instrument, standardisation of solutions and primary troubleshooting of instruments. Timely reporting of results through LIMS and highlighting abnormalities with respect to products/intermediates samples for deviations from specifications.- **ORGANISATIONAL CHART - **RESPONSIBILITIES **RESPONSIBILITIES **ACTIVITIES **QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM **Team Management**:To achieve the team's objectives and continue to do so over time. - Conduct test on raw material, intermediate process streams as per schedule and laid down SOPs. - Follow safety practices and work instructions as per requirement. - Get thorough knowledge of test schedule of all Units like ISBL-1,2,3, PIT, Utility, CPP etc. - Perform testing in accordance to standard test method like ASTM, UOP, IP, BIS, APHA and others pertaining to water section, petro testing, GC, Bitumen, Pet coke, ATF, Metal testing, TBP sample analysis, etc. - Calibration of instruments, preparation of solutions and its standardization. - Independent handling of water section instruments like IC,TOC, pH/TDS/Conductivity meter, UV/VIS spectrophotometer, COD/BOD etc and all types of classical analysis. - Independent handling of petroleum testing instruments like TS/TN analyzer, Gas chromatographs, Vacuum distillation, EDXRF, Density meter, auto FP, auto distillation, auto CFPP, pour point, cloud point, C/S analyzer, auto aniline, auto RVP and all types of manual petroleum testing equipment. - Independent handling of Bitumen, Sulfur and Pet coke testing instruments and analysis of TBP cuts. - Primary troubleshooting of analytical instruments under the guidance of his supervisor. - Highlighting abnormalities with respect to products/intermediates samples for deviations from specifications and testing of quality check / reference samples to be used as secondary standard. - Conduct changeover of gas cylinders and monitor pressure and ensure no leakage in the system. - Impart knowledge and skill to his subordinate. Get multi skilled training on CFR Engines operation and analysis (RON/MON/Cetane), TBP operation, GC calibration and maintenance, product testing and certification.**Planning & Budgeting**:Annual & Facilities plan: To define a business plan that satisfies short and long term business goals. - Planning of analysis sequence as per priority - Pre-preparedness for operation critical instruments. - Proper usage of analytical resources, minimum wear and tear of spares/consumables and glassware breakages. - Reporting of replacement of spares / consumables to immediate supervisor **Systems, Policies & Procedures**:To create a management framework with the capability to achieve targeted gross margin performance.- Follow systems and procedures as per RIMS - Support to achieve the dept objectives and targets. - Provide suggestions for improvement of systems **Management **:To ensure achievement of targeted outcomes as efficiently as possible while at all times complying with process design standards & Statutory regulations- Timely & accurate analysis and reporting - Ensure timely communication of results through LIMS. **MIS**:To enable timely decision making to achieve the business's targets.- Timely reporting of results in LIMs Timely highlighting abnormality/product failure through LIMS/telephonically.**Coordination Internal & External - Analysis of troubleshooting samples from internal customers as directed by the supervisor. - Analysis of complaint samples from external customers as directed by the supervisor. - Analysis of special samples as directed by the supervisor. **ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM** **"Systems, Policies & Procedures**:To be accountable for implementation and improvement of th
