A security guard at a logistics company is responsible for safeguarding the company's warehouse, loading docks, and surrounding property by actively patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access to the facility, verifying deliveries and departures, reporting suspicious activity, and ensuring the safety of personnel and inventory, all while adhering to established security protocols and procedures. Key responsibilities may include:

- **Perimeter security**:Regularly patrolling the warehouse perimeter, checking for potential security breaches like damaged fences, open doors, or unauthorized entry points.
- **Access control**:Verifying identification of all personnel entering and exiting the facility, including drivers, visitors, and employees, and maintaining accurate logs.
- **Vehicle checks**:Inspecting incoming and outgoing trucks for proper seals, documentation, and potential security risks.
- **Surveillance monitoring**:Actively monitoring CCTV cameras to identify suspicious activity and potential security threats.
- **Incident reporting**:Documenting any unusual occurrences, security breaches, accidents, or potential safety hazards and reporting them to management immediately.
- **Emergency response**:Taking appropriate action in case of emergencies like fire, theft, or medical situations, including coordinating with local authorities if necessary.
- **Cargo protection**:Ensuring the security of high-value inventory by monitoring loading and unloading processes and verifying proper documentation.
- **Shift handover**:Providing detailed reports to the incoming security guard regarding any relevant security issues or incidents during the previous shift.

Required skills and qualifications:

- **Physical fitness**: Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and respond quickly to situations.
- **Observation skills**: Keen attention to detail and the ability to identify potential security threats.
- **Communication skills**: Clear and concise reporting of incidents and effective communication with colleagues and management.
- **Basic computer skills**: Familiarity with security systems and surveillance software.
- **Security training and certification**: Preferred, but not always required depending on the company.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 12 per week
