**General Manager - Rice Mill (Operations)**

**Capacity: 10 TPH**

**Basic Job Profile**

**Duties & Responsibility**

Rice Mill Operations Management:

- Take charge of overall operations and maintenance of the rice mill, ensuring smooth functioning, and maximizing production efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain the milling process to meet the desired quality standards and achieve the targeted production capacity of 10 TPH.
- Implement best practices to minimize downtime, reduce wastage, and enhance overall productivity.

Paddy Procurement:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local paddy suppliers, farmers, and traders to ensure a steady and reliable supply of high-quality paddy for the rice mill.
- Negotiate and finalize procurement contracts with suppliers to obtain favourable terms and conditions for the procurement process.
- Ensure proper quality checks on incoming paddy to meet the mill's production requirements.

Rice Sales and Distribution:

- Create and execute effective marketing strategies to promote and sell the processed rice to wholesalers, retailers, and other potential customers.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop distribution channels to expand the reach of our rice products.
- Monitor sales performance, track market trends, and devise strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the rice industry.
- Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of skilled professionals engaged in various aspects of rice mill operations, including production, procurement, and sales.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support the team in achieving their individual and collective goals.

Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in operating a rice mill with a capacity of at least 10 TPH.
- Extensive knowledge of rice milling processes, equipment, and technology.
- Demonstrated expertise in paddy procurement, including sourcing, quality evaluation, and supplier management.
- Strong sales and marketing skills, with a track record of successfully promoting and selling rice products.
- Excellent leadership and management abilities to oversee a diverse team effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize production and address any operational challenges.
- Good understanding of market trends, customer preferences, and competitors in the rice industry.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines in the rice milling sector.

**Qualification**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering / chemical / food technology or related field. MBA will be an added advantage;
- At least 15 years of operational experience in Rice Mill, preferably with minimum 5 years at the management level of a large scale Rice Mill.

**Salary**: ₹1,100,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
