Agronomist, Amazon Kisan

a. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English + 1 vernacular language (Marathi/Kannada/Hindi), including the ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal teams and external partners
b. High degree of ownership and willingness to take initiatives
c. Excellent project management skills and demonstrated partnership with growers
e. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, maintain a strong attention to detail and work independently

Job summary
We are looking for a field agronomist to lead delivery of extension services to farmers.

Key responsibilities include

i. Field Operations

a. Lead a team and help farmers with practices including crop planning, integrated soil and water nutrition management, pest management, residue and harvest management
b. Co-ordinate with partners, become comfortable leveraging tools to drive program adoption
c. Execute regular training programs for farmers

ii. Program co-ordination

a. Coordinate and advice farmers on agronomy
b. Assist in field testing of new initiative pilots

Masters (M.Sc) Degree in agriculture field preferably soil science, pathology, entomology, agronomy, or horticulture
