Akamai's Information Security team is responsible for safeguarding Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. You will have the opportunity to make the Internet a safer place with Akamai's platform and influence.

In this role, you will enhance the security of Akamai's products to integrate security into the design and development. You will collaborate with industry-leading security experts on a global team.

As an Architect, you will be responsible for:

- Performing security-focused design reviews. You will also be performing code reviews as appropriate.
- Partnering with development and infrastructure teams across the organization to assist with remediation of identified issues.
- Working collaboratively with development teams on secure design and development choices.
- Contributing to documentation on security best practices, standards, and requirements.
- Expanding knowledge rapidly and contributing to team growth and cybersecurity advancements.

**Do what you love**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have experience working at, or with, a cloud service provider (CSP) and showing proficiency in cloud security technologies.
- Be current with the latest security technologies, attack techniques, and vulnerabilities.
- Be proficient in at least one programming language and have experience performing security-focused code reviews.
- Have profound understanding of all SDLC phases with the ability to integrate industry-standard security practices effectively.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of common network protocols, security protocols and standards, and encryption standards.
- Have experience with threat modeling or hazard-analysis frameworks such as STAMP, STRIDE.
