We are currently seeking a compassionate and qualified Student Welfare Officer with a background in psychology to join our team and enhance the overall student experience.
As a Student Welfare Officer at Aryan Institute Of Engineering & Technology, you will be responsible for providing counseling, guidance, and support services to students to promote their mental health, personal development, and academic success. Your duties will include:
- **Counseling and Support**:
- Provide individual counseling sessions to students dealing with academic, personal, or emotional challenges.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for students experiencing distress or mental health issues.
- **Student Advocacy**:
- Advocate for students' needs and rights within the college community.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external resources to address student concerns and provide appropriate interventions.
- **Psychological Assessment**:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to evaluate students' mental health and well-being.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and referrals for students requiring additional support or services.
- **Workshops and Programs**:
- Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on topics related to mental health, stress management, and personal development.
- Create initiatives to promote a positive campus culture and foster resilience among students.
- **Crisis Management**:
- Respond to crisis situations and emergencies involving students, providing timely support and coordination of resources.
- Collaborate with campus security, health services, and counseling professionals as needed.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions.
- Prepare reports and data analysis on student welfare trends and outcomes.
**Qualifications**:
- Master's degree or higher in psychology, counseling, or a related field with a focus on clinical or counseling psychology.
- Licensed or certified counselor/psychologist preferred (or eligibility for licensure).
- Experience in providing counseling services to college students or young adults.
- Knowledge of mental health issues, therapeutic techniques, and crisis intervention strategies.
- Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
