Fashion Designer

**Job Summary**:
The Fashion Designer will play a key role in conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative apparel collections in line with Arbour Clothing Co.'s brand identity and market trends. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and marketing, to deliver designs that resonate with customer preferences while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design Development**:

- Conceptualize and create designs for the apparel range, including T-shirts, casual wear, and other products in alignment with seasonal trends and brand aesthetics.
- Develop detailed tech packs with specifications, sketches, and material requirements for production teams.
- **Trend Research & Market Analysis**:

- Conduct thorough market research and stay updated with current fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and consumer preferences.
- Identify new design opportunities and present ideas to keep the brand competitive and relevant.
- **Fabric & Material Selection**:

- Collaborate with the sourcing team to select appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories for collections.
- Ensure material choices are aligned with design intent, quality, and production feasibility.
- **Product Sampling**:

- Work closely with the sampling team to create prototypes and ensure the final product matches design specifications.
- Make necessary revisions and adjustments to ensure accuracy and alignment with the original concept.
- **Collaboration with Production**:

- Assist the production team in resolving design-related queries and ensuring smooth execution of designs during manufacturing.
- Ensure designs are feasible for mass production while maintaining the desired aesthetics.
- **Collection Planning**:

- Develop seasonal collections and contribute to the overall product line strategy.
- Ensure the balance of designs within collections, considering color palettes, silhouettes, and market demand.
- **Quality Standards**:

- Maintain high-quality standards in design and ensure alignment with the company's brand identity.
- Work on minimizing defects and ensuring product excellence through detailed design briefs.
- **Customer-Centric Approach**:

- Incorporate customer feedback and sales data into design improvements for future collections.
- Develop designs that align with the target audience's preferences and demographics.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of all design projects, mood boards, and tech packs for easy reference.
- Prepare presentations to showcase new designs and concepts to internal stakeholders.
- **Sustainability Initiatives**:

- Incorporate sustainable practices and materials in designs, aligning with Arbour Clothing Co.’s commitment to eco-friendly practices (if applicable).

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Education**:Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field from a reputed institution.
- **Experience**:3-5 years of experience as a fashion designer, preferably in the apparel or T-shirt manufacturing industry.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong sketching and illustration skills (hand-drawn or digital).
- Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, and fabric types.
- **Creative Skills**:

- Strong sense of aesthetics, color theory, and fabric textures.
- Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into wearable designs.
- **Communication Skills**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- **Attention to Detail**:

- High focus on accuracy, quality, and the technical aspects of garment production.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
