**Interior Trim Product Engineer**

**Product Engineer**:

- Automotive Interior Trim engineering and design (Interior Trims - Instrument Panel, Cross car beam, Door trims, Console, Pillar trims, Headliner, Carpet etc.)

**Educational Qualification**:
Graduate /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Tool design/ Plastic design

**Experience & Background**:

- Experience in Trim Design at Automobile OEM or Tier 1 around 6 to 8 years.
- Experience on (Interior Trims - Instrument Panel, Cross car beam, Door trims, Console, Pillar trims, Headliner, Carpet etc.) who has executed at least 1-full program from Scratch till SOP.
- Exposure of EPP component design is additional advantage.
- Experience in HUD Display, Digital cockpit is an additional benefit.
- Knowledge of Automotive trim product design and development cycles and its milestones / gateways & Timelines.
- Good Knowledge on plastic part Design & tooling for checking tooling feasibility with tool direction definition, parting line & Slider/ Lifter construction.
- Should have exposure on Interface checks, DMU, Manufacturing and Service requirements.
- Understand GD & T and have hands on experience on basic GD &T
- Target setting for parts strength, Gap-Flush, weight, BSR & regulatory requirement.
- Knowledge of CAE, Vehicle DVP & Validation requirements.
- Experience in Catia V5/UG NX, PLM Experience is an added advantage.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand project milestones deliver the CAD Design and Documents as per timeline.
- Understand global trends & Benchmark in line with global competition for features, ergonomics & Weight optimization.
- Do the Styling feasibility and suggest changes based on product/process requirements.
- Engineering proposals preparation in consultation with COE / internal external (Supplier) experts.
- Detail regulation study as per Standard Norms.
- Preparation of DVP, DFMEA, DCS & Support PPT for Reviews
- Do the Tooling feasibility of parts with tool direction definition, parting line & Slider/ Lifter construction.
- Data releases for Vendor on Board, CAE & to Suppliers for Feasibility.
- DMU, Assembly and Service study on designs.
- Organize and manage project activities and reviews with Cross Functional Team, system leads and COE.
- Preparation of Bill of material with support of designers.
