Test Manager with 8-10 years of testing experience who lives and breathes quality.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

1. Defining test strategies across in-house and 3rd parties

2. Working in an iterative development model ensuring Quality Engineering is embedded as early as possible (shift left) within a SAAS delivery process

3. Knowledge of all the different facets of test coverage, including unit testing, functional, usability, accessibility, performance, capacity, security, integration testing, compatibility etc.

4. Experience of testing techniques that validates sensitive data with adherence to data policies (e.g. GDPR/PII)

5. Managing testing/resource across complex E2E solutions with both in house and 3rd party builds

6. Excellent test planning skills across a complex environment

7. Defect management along with knowing which defects to escalate/flag, confident steering dev teams - in-house/3rd party

8. Experience of knowing when and where to use Test Automation and following an ‘Automate First’ approach.

9. Managing and reporting on test progress including the management of any issues and risks

10. Defining test environments and test data to optimize testing both in-house and 3rd parties

11. Collating Quality Engineering test governance metrics and using this data to drive subsequent improvements to the Quality Engineering processes

12. Strong stakeholder management skills demonstrating business engagement up to senior management levels

13. Experience in creating and managing offshore testing teams with a track record of motivating and inspiring them

14. Experience in data modelling, forecasting capabilities and other revenue contribution models would be beneficial

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Responsible for defining and implementing the test approach for the project and championing adherence to it.

2. Responsible for implementing the shift left test approach and tooling to support this including automation.

3. Responsible for managing End to End test activities that span across multiple teams inside and outside.

4. Responsible for defining the test environments and associated test data requirements across in-house and 3rd parties.

5.Responsible for allocating and tracking progress of prioritised tasks within the team and across 3rd parties

6. Provide overall assurance against all testing completed.

7. Provide clear communication of test status, issues & risks and escalate appropriately.

8. Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the teams.

10. Champion Quality Engineering practises across the teams and continually look for opportunities to improve the way in which the teams work.
