Associate Controls Testing, Financial Controls Team

Role Profile:
The Financial Controls team is charged with the design and build of a robust financial controls framework for LSEG. This includes scoping, risk identification, design of controls, testing of those controls and serving as a 2LoD function for management. The team is part of the larger LSEG Finance organization and reports to the Group Controller. The team also plays a significant role in ensuring that LSEG is ready for anticipated changes following the UK Corporate Governance and Reforms (e.g. introduction of UK SOX).
The Associate will be part of the team that performs the testing of financial controls - design and implementation (D&I) and effectiveness. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Controls Testing, who is one of the five direct reports of the Head of Financial Controls.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform D&I and Effectiveness testing
- Collation of test results and reporting
- Liaise with and support the Controls Advisory function for e.g. control framework changes. Evaluation and remediation of control exceptions
- Manage MetricStream (GRC tool), including the quarterly Attestation process
- External Audit Coordination
- Support the quarterly controls attestation process, ensuring that control attributes are up to date and reflect previous responses
- Ad hoc projects
Skills and experience
- Required_
- 3+ years control testing experience, preferably Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
- University (equivalent) degree and/or ACCA (equivalent)
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with peers and management globally
- Experience in testing code/configuration/logic
- Preferred_
- Knowledge of Audit Command Language (ACL) Analytics and proficiency in MS Office tools. Working knowledge of Power BI
- Internal/ External audit experience and/or prior consulting experience
