
Regulatory Affairs Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Carry out all Regulatory responsibilities with effect FFSI laws for the Back of pack of the products.
- Coordination with lab for monthly testing of all products and making all the paper work ready for the Food officers to checking.
- Coordination new products packaging with the design team and with the product \ vendors.
- Working on new development of products hand in hand with the RND team.
- ensuring compliance with all applicable food labeling regulations are met by law for all existing and new product packaging This includes verifying ingredients, nutrition facts, allergen information, and other mandatory disclosures are accurate and meet legal requirements.
- Compliance with Standards: Staying updated on constantly evolving food labeling regulations is crucial. This includes keeping abreast of updates from agencies like the FFSI, and equivalent bodies in other regions.
- Product Audits: To maintain product compliance, periodic internal or external audits will be required. The regulatory officer will often participate in these audits, ensuring the accuracy of product information on its packaging matches the actual product composition and ingredients.
- Pre-Market Submissions: They may be involved in assembling and submitting information about a new product's label to the relevant regulatory bodies before the product hits the market. This involves gathering data, ensuring documentation accuracy, and working with other teams to meet deadlines and regulatory submissions.
- Label Revisions and Updates: Product formulas or ingredients might change for various reasons. The regulatory specialist will manage the updates to labels to ensure continuous compliance.
- Communication and Collaboration: They often work closely with various teams, including product development, manufacturing, marketing, and legal. Effective communication and collaboration is essential to address any potential issues and secure smooth product launches.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Comprehensive documentation of label reviews, regulations, and audit results is critical. This ensures transparency and readily available information for regulatory inquiries.
- Problem Resolution: If discrepancies are found in the label or associated documentation, they need to identify the root cause and propose solutions or corrective actions.
- Proof reading of all packaging martials before final hand over to vendor for production.
