**Job Description for **Oracle** DBA**:

- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, including database installation, configuration, and administration.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, features, and best practices.
- Experience installing, configuring, modifying, and maintaining Oracle Relational Database Management Systems
- Ability to perform Linux shell script programming and debugging.
- Knowledge of Database queries/Optimization and partitioning techniques
- Knowledge of how to create and maintain indexes.
- Managing Database redundancies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Hands on for installation/configuration and maintenance/performance of Oracle database servers.
- They need to be very good at all things Linux as well.
- Good to have knowledge of Oracle development/coding work.
- Develop maintenance scripts for routine data import/exports (from production to development), flashback scripts (for QA testers), and monitoring scripts to send various health information.
- Ability to Implement Security Best Practices to meet compliance requirements.
- Planning, implementing and execution of database backups and disaster recovery scenarios.
- Participate in service preparation call and demonstrate Service Delivery Process and Clarify Technical/Functional Queries
- Proactively monitor database health and take preventive actions.
- Perform upgrades of database and software.
- Provide detailed technical documentation and troubleshooting steps for all engagements.
- Advise and offer recommended practices for technical standards, guidelines, and quality control measures for enabling and implementing software systems.
- Define technical task lists that align implementation efforts and tactical activities to the overall project goals and roadmap.
