**_ This position requires a seasoned professional as a Senior Manager with specialized knowledge of model risk management. This role involves overseeing the development, enhancement, and validation of credit risk regulatory and non-regulatory models and/or behavioral models (models _**_in the area of Financial Crime like Fraud or AML, Marketing Campaigns, Adjudication models etc.), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving innovation in risk management practices. _**

**_Responsibilities_**:**_ _**

**_ You will be primarily working as a consultant for the centralized advanced analytics team of a banking or financial firm as Credit Risk Model Validation Specialist. The role will require interacting with various business units including their risk, finance, controllership stakeholders etc. You will also be responsible for coordinating with auditors and model development or validation teams to ensure the Enterprise Modeling Governance standards are followed; Your activities will include, but will not be limited to the following:_**

- **_Provide thought leadership and due diligence in conducting end to end independent model validation aligned with business objectives and industry best practices._**

- **_Independently validate, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct rigorous testing and validation methodologies to ensure model robustness and reliability._**

- **_End-to-end independent validation of credit risk and behavioral models - PD, LGD, EAD, Stress Testing, CECL, Credit Scorecards, AML, Fraud models, Technology, Cyber and Operations models etc. _**
- **_Assess the models conceptually and quantitatively to ensure the model is suitable for the stated use._**

- **_Conduct necessary assessments to challenge the model effectively. Assess adequacy of model documentation_**

- **_Development of benchmark models using statistical/Machine Learning techniques_**

- **_Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in model validation processes. _**
- **_Assessment of the model monitoring and implementation process_**

- **_Prepare model validation report summarizing findings and provide recommendations._**

- **_Lead, train, and mentor junior members in the team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture._**

- **_Propose recommendations to improve monitoring systems and capabilities based on identified risk and control gaps._**

- **_Conducting in-depth research on existing and emerging policies related to credit risk modeling and contributing to the creation of whitepapers. Researching and contributing to artifact creation as required in a consulting role._**

**_ Qualifications we seek in you_**:**_ _**_Minimum qualifications_**_ _**
- **_Experience in developing, validating models and risk management of credit risk models and/or behavioral models (preferably in financial crime like AML or Fraud models, additional expertise in marketing campaign models or adjudication models using machine learning techniques are preferred)_**

- **_Knowledge of various statistical techniques and proven skill in regulatory and non-regulatory credit risk modelling_**

- **_Understanding and experience of the regulatory risk model development/validation guidelines - SR 11-7, Basel IRB, CCAR, CECL, IFRS9 etc. _**
- _End-to-end development or independent validation of credit risk and regulatory models including but not limited to - PD, LGD, EAD, Stress Testing, CECL, Credit Scorecards, AML and counter fraud models etc._

- **_Develop statistical/mathematical and machine learning based models, rule fine tuning/optimization, testing, reviewing, and performing validation activities and prepare end to end model documentation. _**
