Oil and Gas Faculty

1. **Teaching and Instruction**
- **Course Design and Delivery**: Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate-level courses on topics related to oil and gas engineering, exploration, production, drilling, reservoir engineering, and energy economics.
- **Curriculum Development**: Design and revise course materials, including lectures, assignments, and examinations to ensure they are up-to-date with current industry practices and academic standards.
- **Student Supervision**: Mentor and guide students, particularly those involved in projects, research, and internships.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**: Evaluate student performance through exams, quizzes, assignments, lab work, and other methods.

2. **Research and Development**
- **Conducting Research**: Engage in research related to oil and gas exploration, production techniques, environmental impact, sustainability, and energy transitions.
- **Publishing Work**: Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, present at conferences, and collaborate with industry and academic peers.
- **Innovation**: Explore new technologies and methods that can be applied to the oil and gas industry, focusing on efficiency, safety, and environmental concerns.
- **Grant Writing**: Seek funding for research through grants, industry partnerships, and government initiatives.

3. **Industry Collaboration**
- **Industry Partnerships**: Collaborate with oil and gas companies, research organizations, and government agencies to ensure academic programs are aligned with industry needs and standards.
- **Consulting**: Provide expert advice and consultancy services to industry professionals or organizations in the oil and gas sector.
- **Internships and Field Experience**: Coordinate opportunities for students to gain real-world experience through internships, field visits, and industry projects.

4. **Administrative and Institutional Duties**
- **Departmental Activities**: Participate in department meetings, curriculum review, faculty committees, and other academic or administrative activities.
- **Accreditation and Reporting**: Assist in ensuring the department or program meets accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
- **Program Development**: Contribute to the development of new academic programs, workshops, seminars, or conferences related to the oil and gas sector.

5. **Student Engagement and Support**
- **Advising**: Advise students on academic and career paths, including research opportunities, internships, and job placement in the oil and gas industry.
- **Office Hours and Support**: Be available for one-on-one meetings with students to provide guidance on coursework, projects, and research.
- **Extracurricular Activities**: Support and guide student organizations or initiatives related to energy, sustainability, and the oil and gas sector.

6. **Professional Development**
- **Continual Learning**: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and academic advancements.
- **Networking**: Attend industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to foster professional growth and maintain academic and industry connections.
- **Contributing to Academic Community**: Actively participate in professional associations related to oil and gas, such as SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers), and engage in activities that advance the discipline.

7. **Safety, Ethics, and Sustainability**
- **Promote Safety**: Incorporate safety practices and industry standards into teaching and research, ensuring students understand the importance of safety in oil and gas operations.
- **Sustainability and Environmental Impact**: Teach students about the environmental aspects of oil and gas exploration and production, including renewable energy alternatives and practices for minimizing environmental impact.

8. **Public Outreach and Community Engagement**
- **Awareness Campaigns**: Engage with the public and stakeholders to promote understanding and awareness about the oil and gas industry’s role in the economy and society.
- **Educational Outreach**: Collaborate with schools, government agencies, and other organizations to promote careers in the oil and gas sector and encourage education in energy-related fields.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
