**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- The HCC Coding Team Member will review medical records to abstract ICD-10 codes, specifically those that map to HCCs and RxHCCs
- Coders will follow Medicare guidelines, ICD-10-CM guidelines as well as client specific requirements
- Review, analyze and code patient medical records based on client specific guidelines for the project
- Follow ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines and interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment
- Follow Risk Adjustment Data Abstraction Rules
- Will be required to maintain an ongoing productivity level based on project requirements
- Ensure individual compliance with all privacy and security rules and regulations and commit to the protection of all Company confidential information, including but not limited to, Personal Health Information
- Audit retro and concurrent medical provider clinical documentation while adhering to Medicare guidelines
- Review documentation to assign/audit correct diagnosis codes
- Identify areas for documentation improvement and effectively communicate with staff and supervisor
- Perform in a professional manner, exercising good judgement and ethical standards. Interacts effectively
- Align conduct with AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and support the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Program
- Comply with all internal policies and procedures
- Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate or above.
- Must meet weekly production requirements.
- Must meet weekly production requirements.
- Be reliable and maintain a high level of confidentiality within all aspects of job performance
- Knowledge of HIPAA, recognizing a commitment to privacy, security and confidentiality of all medical chart
- Work schedule - 8am - 5pm or 9am - 6pm
- Other duties as assigned.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**:Bachelor's Degree in any life science

**Licences/Certifications**:CPC/COC/CRC/CCS/CIC
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving ability regarding barriers to receiving and validating accurate HCC information.
- 1+ years experience in HCC coding
- Preferred 1+ years E&M experience
- Strong skills in ICD 10 CM and Risk adjustment coding guidelines

**WORK FROM OFFICE**

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- HCC Coding: 1 year (preferred)
- Medical Coding: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- CPC, CIC, COC, CRC,CCA, CCS (preferred)
