**Job Summary**:
[Sigma university] is seeking a responsible, proactive, and compassionate **Hostel Warden** to manage day-to-day operations of our university hostel and ensure a safe, secure, and well-disciplined living environment for students. The Warden will serve as a key figure in student welfare, offering administrative oversight and pastoral care to resident students.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all hostel administrative functions including student accommodation, room allocation, and occupancy tracking.
- Ensure strict compliance with university hostel rules and regulations.
- Maintain discipline and harmony among hostel residents; address complaints and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Supervise daily operations such as housekeeping, security, food quality (if applicable), and maintenance.
- Monitor student movements and enforce curfew timings, visitor policies, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with university departments (security, maintenance, housekeeping, health center) for smooth hostel functioning.
- Conduct regular room and facility inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to rules.
- Maintain detailed records including attendance, incident reports, student leave/exit registers, and inventory.
- Provide basic counseling and support to students and escalate issues when necessary.
- Organize orientation sessions, safety drills, and welfare activities in coordination with student services.
- Be available on-call for emergencies during non-working hours, including nights and weekends.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline; degrees in Social Work, Psychology, or Management are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a university or academic residential environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills.
- Ability to handle diverse student issues with empathy, discretion, and firmness.
- Proficient in MS Office and record-keeping software.
- Willingness to reside on campus full-time.
