Lkg Teacher

A LKG teacher is responsible for nurturing the development of young children, typically ages 3-5, by creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment. They plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons, foster social and emotional growth, and prepare children for kindergarten through creative activities and structured learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Planning & Instruction
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that include activities to develop motor skills, language, cognitive abilities, and social skills.
- Incorporate creative teaching methods such as storytelling, games, art, music, and hands-on activities.
- Introduce basic concepts like numbers, colors, shapes, letters, and foundational skills for literacy and numeracy.

2. Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety.
- Establish and enforce rules and routines to promote positive behavior and cooperation.

3. Developmental Support
- Observe and assess each child’s progress in physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
- Identify and address developmental delays or learning challenges, communicating concerns with parents and specialists.
- Encourage social interactions to build friendships and teamwork skills.

4. Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and needs.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

5. Health & Safety
- Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and address any immediate health concerns.
- Teach children personal hygiene practices such as handwashing and cleanliness.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or accidents.

Qualification:

- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred).
- State certification or licensing as required for preschool teaching.
- Prior experience working with young children in a classroom setting is preferred.
