Job Description: IB and MYP English Literature Teacher

Location: Pune (Kharadi)

**Responsibilities**:
Develop and implement engaging and dynamic lesson plans that align with the IB and MYP English Literature curriculum.

Provide instruction to students on various literary works, including novels, plays, poems, and other forms of literature.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to explore and analyze literature critically.

Support students in developing strong reading, writing, and communication skills through interactive teaching methods.

Evaluate student performance through assessments, examinations, and projects, and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their academic growth.

Collaborate with other English teachers and faculty members to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.

Guide and mentor students, providing academic support and counseling as needed.

Stay updated with current trends, resources, and advancements in English literature education.

Participate in professional development activities, including workshops and conferences, to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English Literature or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

Relevant teaching certification or qualification, such as a B.Ed. or teaching diploma.

Previous experience teaching IB and MYP English Literature courses is highly desirable.

Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Strong knowledge of literary works across different genres and time periods.

Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students in the study of literature.

Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment.

Proficiency in integrating technology into the teaching process.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.

A commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.

**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 3 years (required)
