A Kitchen Helper assists with various tasks in the kitchen to support the kitchen staff and ensure a clean, organized, and efficient environment. This entry-level position is essential for the smooth operation of the kitchen, as the Kitchen Helper is responsible for performing a variety of tasks, such as cleaning, food preparation, and assisting with equipment maintenance. This role provides support to chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to help deliver high-quality meals and maintain kitchen hygiene standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation Assistance**:

- Assist in basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, fruits, and herbs.
- Help with the preparation of ingredients by portioning or measuring out ingredients as required.
- Support cooks and chefs by setting up ingredients and tools for meal preparation.
- **Kitchen Cleaning and Organization**:

- Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and walls to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment.
- Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, pots, pans, dishes, and cooking equipment.
- Assist with organizing and restocking ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of kitchen waste in a safe and hygienic manner.
- **Assisting with Inventory**:

- Help keep track of stock levels, assist with inventory counts, and report any shortages or damaged goods.
- Assist in the delivery of food and supplies from storage areas to kitchen stations as needed.
- **Supporting Kitchen Staff**:

- Assist chefs and cooks with various tasks, such as stirring, mixing, or garnishing dishes.
- Help transport food from the kitchen to the serving area.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure that all kitchen areas are safe and hygienic.
- Help ensure that food storage areas (refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage) are clean, organized, and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Practice safe food handling techniques to avoid contamination or foodborne illnesses.
- **Miscellaneous Tasks**:

- Assist with unloading deliveries of food, equipment, and supplies.
- Help set up or break down the kitchen at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Perform any additional duties as required by the kitchen supervisor or chef.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks (lifting, standing for long periods).
- Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a kitchen helper, dishwasher, or in a similar position.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and food safety guidelines.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

**Work Environment**:

- The role involves working in a commercial kitchen, which can be fast-paced and noisy.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items and work in varying temperatures (e.g., refrigerators, ovens).
- Kitchen Helpers may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on the establishment's hours.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
