**The Role**
- Monitor and manage the performance of mainframe systems and associated subsystems.
- Schedule, initiate, and monitor batch jobs and real-time workloads using job scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Control-M).
- Detect and resolve system alerts, job failures, and other operational issues quickly and accurately.
- Maintain logs, reports, and operational documentation.
- Perform system backups and data restores in accordance with IT policies.
- Follow standard operating procedures and escalate incidents appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and operational KPIs.
- Participate in disaster recovery drills and business continuity efforts.
- Provide support for system maintenance windows and off-hours support as needed.
- Ensure timely execution of production jobs, investigate failures, and initiate restarts or escalate when necessary.
- Monitor overall system health, job performance, and service availability.
- Maintain and update operations documentation, job logs, and shift handover reports.
- Perform routine production control tasks such as dataset management, JCL review, and file transfers.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Support disaster recovery and system backup procedures during scheduled tests or outages.Ensure compliance with internal control standards, audit policies, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
**Who You Are**
- Trained/ experienced in mainframe operations, production support, or batch job scheduling.
- Hands-on experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Control-M, TWS, etc.).
- Strong understanding of JCL, TSO/ISPF, and IBM mainframe environments.
- Familiarity with JES2/JES3, SDSF, and general console operations.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot job failures and scheduling issues.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.Willingness to work in shifts or 24/7 operations support if required.
