**Position Title**: Nursing Supervisor

**Job Overview**
The Nursing Supervisor will oversee and manage nursing staff and patient care delivery to ensure high-quality and compassionate healthcare services at St. Columba's Mission Hospital. They will coordinate between departments, mentor staff, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Staff Supervision & Management**:
- Supervise and support nursing staff in their daily activities.
- Ensure optimal staff-to-patient ratios and manage shift scheduling.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- **Patient Care Coordination**:
- Monitor the quality of patient care and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
- Address patient and family concerns, resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
- **Training & Development**:
- Organize regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Mentor and support staff for professional growth.
- Ensure new staff members receive proper orientation.
- **Operational Management**:
- Monitor and ensure the availability of medical supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for patient care.
- Enforce adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
- **Quality Assurance**:
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance nursing services.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with standards.
- **Emergency Preparedness**:
- Lead and manage nursing teams during emergencies and critical situations.
- Ensure the readiness of staff and resources for unexpected scenarios.
**Qualifications & Skills**
- **Educational Qualification**: B.Sc. Nursing or GNM; M.Sc. Nursing preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- **Key Skills**:
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in patient care and nursing procedures.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality standards.
